This high-quality silicone mould lets you easily create perfect detailed strings of pearls for your cakes. The mould is soft and flexible, making it easy to fill with fondant or gum paste and remove the moulded pieces. After unmoulding, dust with lustre or pearl dust or colour as desired.

Care: Top-rack dishwasher safe or wash with soap and water and air dry (if dried with a towel, the mould will pick up lint from the towel)

To use, knead a small amount of fondant or gum paste until smooth, dust with cornstarch, then press it into the mould (do not dust the mould itself, as this will result in a loss of detail). Pop the moulded fondant or gum paste out by gently holding the mould with your thumbs on top and fingers on the bottom of the mould and flexing it out and up. For deep or highly-detailed moulds, place the filled mould into the refrigerator or freezer for 15 - 30 minutes to allow the fondant or gum paste to set firm and to make for easy de-moulding
NOTE: Cavity dimensions (where noted) are approximate and generally refer to the dimensions of the cavity opening; the product obtained from the mould may be smaller or larger than the dimensions noted, depending on the shape and style of the cavity

Love this mold, have used it already several time and have owned it for less than a month. I love the ability of choosing the pearl size I need all on one mold. It's super easy to use, yet very professional looking outcome. The only thing is that it does not give you 3D pearls, only 2D so they must be placed on a surface (ie. border around the cake). Can not be used for bag handles, or other items requiring a 3D look. LOVE LOVE first impression molds, quality is superb.

I recently got into cake decorating and many piping techniques are still difficult for me. I picked up this bead mold in order to make borders without having to use a piping bag. The results are fantastic!! Made beautiful professional looking borders for my cake layers in a snap. Only thing to keep in mind is these are pretty small sizes - the 10mm was perfect for my 4' and 6' cake rounds but would look too small for anything larger than that. I will definitely be picking up the larger size soon.
