Product Info

Feasts and parties you host can have a new center of attention once you start molding your own butter with this wooden butter mold. Make cute lamb shaped butter by simply putting butter in the mold and squeezing both sides. So simple, so ingenious. Start your own tradition of butter molds just like they still do in Poland. This butter mold is especially nice for the Easter and Christmas celebrations. Please be sure to rinse this item well as sawdust might still be present in this authentic Polish creation. Box measures approx. 4.5" W x 2.5" H x 1.5" Depth

Butter Mold Instructions:
- insert dry and assembled mold into a freezer for 30-40 minutes
- remove it from the freezer and fill with softened butter (Optional step: Prior to filling with softened butter, lightly coat the inside of the form with cooking oil or non-stick cooking spray.)
- place into freezer for another 40-50 minutes
- carefully open mold by wedging a butter knife into the cutout
- delicately remove frozen form
- Clean the mold with water and mild detergent. Do not soak the item when washing. Item is not safe for use in dishwasher
- Towel-dry the item or allow the item to air dry.

Please note: it is important to allow air flow to reach all sides of mold. If one side is left wet while the other sides dry, warping could occur. If the mold warps, wet the side that warped and place mold on its opposite side to correct the mold's shape.

Customer Opinions

Butter mold

I bought the Easter lamb butter mold for my sister-in-law as a thank you gift after visiting her farm. She was delighted with the mold after some practice in how to pack it with butter. Also, the product arrived when promised.

Cute but difficult to use

Carving was a bit more rustic than I had anticipated from the picture, but that was ok.The problem came when I tried to actually use the item. I followed the instructions, and while one side of the mold released with no issue, I could not get the lamb to pop free of the mold on the other side. The poor frozen butter lamb had to get chipped out of the mold so we could spread lovely Pulgra butter on the babka I made.

Works great.

I bought this product to make a lamb butter for Easter dinner. I tried it a few days before dinner to make sure the butter was going to come out like a lamb properly. Well, it did not. I then called the company and was told to either place celophane or oil inside before adding the melted butter. Once I did this it worked like a charm. I recommend this product.
