I used this mold to make chocolates for our son's fire truck party, they turned out great! I used the ladder mold to make 2 white chocolate ladders to put on the side of his fire truck cake, they came out great too!

The mold is great, the delivery was quick. I got them to make homemade candy for my son's baby shower. He's a volunteer firefighter and is having a firefighter theme for his nursery. The candies were larger than I thought and took more than 5 minutes to set in the freezer, I left mine in there for 30 min to assure they were fully set. After 5 minutes, part of the chocolate would break off in the hat when I was popping it out. Takes a little bit of work to get them out of the mold but the longer they sit in the freezer, the easier they are to get out. Great product and was a huge hit with all the firefighters at the shower. I will be buying another mold or two prior to Christmas to be able to make them quicker as I've been requested to make them for their Christmas party. I do the candies very easily. I take large candy bars and melt them for 1 min 20 seconds at 50% in the microwave and then stir and pour. It's really just reshaping the candy bars but you can use any candy bar of your choice, of course, snickers or milkyway would mix the chocolate with nougat but I used dark chocolate hersey's, milk chocolate hersey and nestle crunch.

The detail on each of the molds is great. It is difficult to get candy out of the ladder (and sometimes the badge) in one piece but they look great when they come out. The hat, truck and hydrant have no trouble.
