I bought these really close to a birthday party we were having, so it was really close timing when I got this. When I saw the package, the texture looked chalky (i.e. had been sitting on a shelf too long or thrown around), which wasn't a big deal if it melted like the all the other ones I ordered (yellow from Amazon, and the white ones in store). But when I melted it using the instructions on the bag (same as the other ones), it melted to result in a slightly dried playdoh texture. So it wasn't melting properly, period. Then the next day when I tried again, the melts smelled like soap. I'm glad I didn't use it or it could have made someone sick.Anyway, case in point: order early, prepare to return. I opened it already and don't care about my 3 bucks purchase, so won't do a return. But with even having amazon.com as the "sold by", it doesn't guarantee quality, just the return procedure.
